Med school hosts memorial

by Marian Chavez Daily Lobo About 100 people donate their bodies to the UNM School of Medicine for research every year. Families, friends, students and faculty from the medical school gathered Saturday at the Aquinas Newman Center to honor the 104 people who donated their body to science this year.

35-year career earns professor faculty award

by Marian Chavez Daily Lobo After 35 years of teaching at UNM, professor Anne Taylor has been rewarded for her efforts as an educator. On Thursday, during a ceremony at Zimmerman Library, Taylor was presented with the Faculty Acknowledgment Award.

Students' dogs fixed for free

by Marian Chavez Daily Lobo About 40 UNM students took advantage of a free spaying or neutering of their dogs on Saturday. Brenda Myer, an employee at the Eastside Animal Care Center, said some students had more than one dog they got fixed. "So we've probably done at least 50 animals," Myer said.
