Premed organization inducts UNM chapter

In a ritualistic ceremony Monday, the Alpha Epsilon Delta premedical honor society adopted its newest chapter at UNM and initiated its first members into the organization. Charles Rose, an AED alumnus from Brigham Young University, presented the 12 premedical students with their certificates and said they should feel proud.

Law lecturer appointed to education commission

A UNM School of Law School lecturer has recently been given an opportunity to help improve postsecondary and higher education throughout New Mexico by being named to the New Mexico Commission on Higher Education. Raquel Montoya-Lewis, in her third year at UNM, said that she plans to use her position as a voice for American Indians throughout the state.
