Game show reveals stupidity of American adults

Are you smarter than a fifth-grader? Well, you'd be pretty stupid if you weren't. That's not to say a game show couldn't be made of the question. After all, people in this country are very stupid. Hell, even college kids are mostly ignorant, lazy and lacking in critical-thinking skills.

Is UNM a sustainable university? I'm not talking about its business policies. UNM will continue to operate into the future as well as any university in the U.S. But if our entire society collapses from beneath our feet, there may not be much left in the way of universities, an economy or people to educate.

'Grindhouse' pokes fun at its own genre

The term "grind house" refers to seedy movie theaters in the '60s and '70s that showed low-quality B-movies filled with sex, violence and general tastelessness. The Robert Rodriguez-Quentin Tarantino project of the same name is a spoof of and an homage to this lost format.

Professor finds perfect mixture

When something has to be mixed in a channel that is measured in micrometers, it's complicated. Liquids in a microscopic channel can't be mixed by shaking them up like gin and vermouth in a martini, said Dimiter Petsev, assistant professor in chemical and nuclear engineering.
