Students summon the dead in memory

by Aubrey Montoya Daily Lobo Student Isaac Casas grew up celebrating Dia de Los Muertos with his family. "We all went to the cemetery on that day and would feast there with loved ones," he said. "We put a little altar there for them." Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration to remember the lives of loved ones who have passed away, Casas said.

Students' business skills put to the test

Putting recycling in its place

by Aubrey Montoya Daily Lobo Kyrsten Sanderson, the Campus Greens' co-chair, said a recycling drive in the dorms gave her hope. "There's a system that exists, but no one really utilizes it," she said. "A lot of people who are involved in the Greens live in the dormitories and are fed up with seeing all this waste go to the regular Dumpster.
