250 attend illuminating tradition

by Annette Herrera Daily Lobo UNM was lit up with thousands of luminarias Friday night to celebrate one of the University's oldest traditions: Hanging of the Greens. More than 30 student organizations set up about 20,000 luminaries throughout campus to celebrate the tradition, which has been around since the 1930s.

Law school creates tax program

by Annette Herrera Daily Lobo UNM's Clinical Law Program has created a low-income taxpayer program with the help of a grant provided by the IRS. Evan Hobbs, a New Mexico attorney, was hired to help with the low-income taxpayer program and supervise law students providing legal advice to taxpayers.

Aiming to help United Way

by Annette Herrera Daily Lobo The UNM Young Leaders' Society and UNM President Louis Caldera encouraged faculty and staff to donate to United Way at a brown bag lunch at the SUB on Monday. Caldera said faculty and staff could support United Way through a one-time annual donation or a monthly payroll deduction.
