What can I tell you about my first Thanksgiving? I think it was like many first experiences: eye-opening, emotionally scarring and completely unforgettable.
Imagine, if you can, that your whole life you had been deceived. Tricked into thinking you were something you weren’t. And then suddenly, nineteen years into this deception the truth comes to light in a cruel and painful manner.
I think it is fair to say there’s no country quite as fanatical about food as America. The Spanish may be pious about their paella, and the Italians are mad for their marinara, but Americans have taken food to a whole new level.
