The old baseball adage that good pitching beats good hitting could not have been any more correct Sunday afternoon as the UNM baseball team, behind the pitching of Chris Cooper, beat Kansas State University 12-3 at the Albuquerque Sports Stadium.
The UNM women's basketball team could not overcome 27 turnovers and poor free-throw shooting in the final minute of its 56-53 road loss to San Diego State University.
