Interviews for dean of Fine Arts begin at Rodey theater

David W. Bernstein, professor and head of the music department at Mills College, Oakland, Calif. will be interviewed for the Fine Arts dean position today at UNM. Bernstein is the first of five candidates to be interviewed for the position and each presentation will be in the Rodey Auditorium from 10-10:45 a.m.

The UNM baseball team will host a pair of doubleheaders this weekend at Lobo Field. On Saturday, the Lobos will play University of Toledo at 10:30 a.m. and Ohio State University at 2 p.m. The teams will swap the order for Sunday's games with the Lobos playing Ohio State in the early game at 10:30 a.m. and Toledo at 2 p.m.

LETTER: Instructor's letter reflects poorly on his department

I really want to comment on Ricky Lee Allen's letter that was printed on March 6. The fact that the writer identified himself as a "UNM College of Education Instructor" should be an embarrassment to all of his colleagues in the College of Education. I certainly hope that his letter was not an indication of the level of scholarship held by instructors in the College of Education.
