McKay inks deal as Lobo head coach

In 1996, Ritchie McKay started his coaching career by nearly upsetting the University of Mississippi, led by then-coach Rob Evans. The Rebels would defeat McKay' s Portland State University team 56-54 on a controversial, last-second shot by Chris Olney, which the Vikings argued was released after the buzzer sounded.

LETTER: Preventing theft is fine, but pedestrians ignored at UNM

Regarding Parking Services' Car Safety Campaign, I think it is just fine UNM wants to inform people how to keep our precious cars safe from thieves. However, what I would like to see is UNM do something to help pedestrians. It's bad enough the entire city is like a war zone for pedestrians but the streets on the UNM campus are just as bad.

LETTER: What Cyrino wears to class not relevant

On March 26, the Daily Lobo published an article about Professor Monica Cyrino. The reporter, Jason Gil Bear, included an evaluation of Professor Cyrino's attire: "Cyrino, wearing a slim-fitting purple shirt with tailored black pants and stiletto heels . joked about wanting to look more like Mariah Carey."
