Taos Poetry Circus attracts mix of contemporary poets

Year after year, the Circus, organized by the World Poetry Bout Association, attracts some of the greatest names in contemporary poetry with fans from all over the world attending.

Go climb a tree
June 6Roberto Contreras, 19, of Southwest Tree Specialists, competes in the "Work Climb" during the Third Annual New Mexico State Tree Climbing Championships Saturday at Taylor Park. The event was co-sponsored by the UNM Physical Plant Department and featured five scored events. Competitors vied for a $500 chainsaw, a cash prize and the chance to represent New Mexico at the regional competition in Denver, Colo., June 15.
LETTER: New Lobo editor continues predilection for liberal bias
June 6First I must say that I am dismayed that the incoming editor seems to have the same liberal leanings as the last editor. I was hoping for some balance, but I guess I am in the U.S. education system and it is certainly conducive to liberal policies.
