UNM earns award for minimizing pollution

The award is given annually to institutions that comply with city, state and federal guidelines of safety and innovative procedures for reducing harmful waste.

Socorro car crash results in UNM student's death

Also killed in the crash was Jeremiah Wright, 22, a New Mexico Tech senior. The driver of the car, Christopher Michel, 22, also a student at Tech, survived the accident and was released from UNM Hospital Sept.
Officials angered by construction delays with SUB

Body found in dorm last week now identified
October 8Staff Report Officials from the state Office of the Medical Investigator announced Monday that they have identified the body of a UNM student found in a Student Residence Center apartment. The body of Frank Baca, 47, a senior who studied sociology, was discovered by a University housing crew Friday.

I often joke with my friends that car companies should make the "New Mexico" model of cars: All models shipped to New Mexico will not include turn signals since drivers don't use them.
