FDA probe could lead to another fallen hero

Jumbled in the labyrinth of litigation, among the supposed exposés, and building and falling evidence of admissions and retractions, is the proverbial, high-stakes, good-guys-bad-guys game, one that will be viewed through discriminatory lenses depending on what side of the chicken wire you’re on.

Consumerism corrupts boxing

There’s no defending the conspired commercial ploy, a down-and-dirty business deal crafted among promoters, boxers and television enablers. UNM community eschews gum

UNM announced a ban on gum today to coincide with the state’s increased tax on gum packs. The previous tax, 25 cents per pack, is now 50 cents a pack to deter health-related risks associated with gum chewing and cut back on under-aged chewing, said state spokesperson Tom Snaior.

Donate hair: Help sick kids, oil spill

Now that summer has arrived, the financial aid checks have cleared, and we have paid our bills — or most of our bills — it’s time to do something for you. The list is long for most of us on how we would like to spend a few leftover bucks. I decided on a haircut. Being of the activist mindset, and quite partial to doing a little here and there for others, I wanted to donate my hair. Dealing with inconvenient truths

Take a minute and ask yourself: How big is my carbon footprint? Not many will admit to the damage they’ve done, but in some way, shape or form all of us have contributed to the global warming situation we are living through. It’s no secret that carbon dioxide is accumulating in our environment, and although some will debate the issue, countless statistics point to the contribution this has to global warming. Results from a study in April’s edition of Environmental Science Technology show that China and the U.S.

Ceci n'est pas une pipe

On March 30, someone pretended to be ASUNM senatorial candidate Kristen Sandine and posted a comment on Dailylobo.com, saying opposing candidate David Conway was instrumental behind the February 15 stabbing. So the Daily Lobo has come up with a comment policy: We will not remove comments because we disagree with them, but we reserve the right to take down a comment if it is a libelous or unnecessarily hurtful attack on an individual or group.
