Isotopes shake back with a win in fourth game of the series

The Albuquerque Isotopes took on the Salt Lake Bees for their fourth game of the series on Friday, April 4. The temperature during Friday's game was frigid, with fans cozied up together and both teams wearing long sleeves under their jerseys to watch the Isotopes come out on top 5-4.

At the beginning of the game, neither team could get their batters around the bases to score any runs — until Salt Lake’s Niko Kavadas hit the first home run of the night in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, both teams left double zeros up on the board, leaving the score at Salt Lake 1 and Isotopes 0 going into the sixth inning.

In the sixth inning, Salt Lake’s Matthew Lugo scored a run, putting up another point for the Bees. With a 0 up on the board going into the seventh, it wasn't looking so hot for the Isotopes.

However, the Isotopes' luck turned around in the seventh inning, when the Bees scored two runs and the Isotopes finally got on the board, matching the Bees and scoring two runs of their own. The Isotopes were down 4-2 going into the eighth inning.

Fast forwarding to the ninth and final inning, the Isotopes still found themselves down 4-2. At the bottom of the ninth after Salt Lake scored no runs during their final inning, Albuquerque’s  Braxton Fulford hit a home run, ending the game on a high note. The game ended with three runs in the final inning for the Isotopes.

This left the final score 5-4, with the Isotopes coming out on top.
