Where there’s a victor, there’s a loser, and sometimes certain athletes contribute to their team’s shortcomings. These athletes are favorably called bobbleheads.
Another week of NBA basketball has gone by — and with that, another week filled with bobbleheads.
Orlando Magic — Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Featured on bobbleheads for the second time — because of his performance against the Houston Rockets — is Orlando Magic shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The Magic lost to the Rockets 97-84 on Monday, March 10, and all Caldwell-Pope was able to do for his team was grab one rebound, not even attempting a single shot throughout the 21 minutes he played.
Indiana Pacers — Bennedict Mathurin
The next bobblehead that could have done more is Indiana Pacers shooting guard Bennedict Mathurin, who had a terrible performance in a loss against the Chicago Bulls on Monday, March 10. Mathurin shot 2-9, only able to amass 5 points, two rebounds and three assists throughout the 23 minutes he played.
Denver Nuggets — Christian Braun
The final bobblehead from this week is Denver Nuggets shooting guard Christian Braun. Braun is usually a consistent shooter, shooting 57% from the field on the season. But when the Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, March 12, his consistent shooting was nowhere to be found.
Braun played 33 minutes and was only able to post 6 points going 3-10 from the field, bricking two threes while at it.
