Another exciting week of NBA basketball has gone by, and we saw highs, lows and a few players who could’ve played better. Those players in particular are this week's “bobbleheads.”
San Antonio Spurs — Chris Paul
Chris Paul has had an interesting career to say the least, and this week added to that. The 39-year-old point guard stumbled into the week with an abysmal performance in a loss against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, Feb. 23, only putting up 4 points on 1-10 shooting, going 1-7 shooting from three.
Paul had a better performance on Tuesday putting up a double-double, despite his team losing again to the Pelicans. Paul cemented his bobblehead status on Wednesday, however, when he yet again only managed to put up 4 points on 1-5 shooting with four assists in a loss to the Houston Rockets.
Spurs — De’Aaron Fox
Fox is also on the Spurs, playing alongside Paul — and his performance against the Rockets didn’t help much either. Fox only put up 7 points on 3-12 shooting, going 1-5 from three. Outside of scoring, Fox was only able to grab three boards and get three assists alongside that.
Perhaps better play from him could’ve propelled the Spurs to a better spot to potentially win the game.
Orlando Magic — Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope got some good cardio in on Thursday against the Warriors; it seemed as if all he was doing was running. Caldwell-Pope played for 34 minutes and did not score a single point.
His other stats weren’t eye-popping either, as he only had two rebounds, one assist and one block. The Magic lost this game by 6 points, and if KCP would’ve scored his average on the season (8.6ppg), his team would’ve won. Instead, he just ran around like a bobblehead.
