Buehler, from Carlsbad, said she doesn't shop too much. She got her jeans for free from Buffaloe Exchange when it was giving away old clothes. Her favorite items are hand-me-downs.

We found Orner reading on the lawn. He said he gets his stuff from all over the place. His glasses belong to his friend. He said his grandmother shops for him at thrift stores, Wal-Mart and Marshall's.

McCray knows what she's doing. She's worked at Victoria's Secret, Dillard's and now Aeropostale. She said she got her flip-flops for free because her sales were high. Her NBA All-Star Tournament T-shirt and her earrings were gifts.

Sedillo has a knack for mixing high-end with department store clothing. From Target to Bebe, she likes to look for whatever's on sale. She also keeps items around for years. Her jacket was so old, she didn't remember how much it cost.
