March 27

A UNM Police officer went to Popejoy Hall after a UNM employee reported that his backpack was stolen. The employee said he worked in the sound booth and left his backpack unattended. He told the officer three skateboarders had loitered on stage. He said he saw one of the skateboarders take the backpack while exiting Popejoy. There were no other witnesses.

March 27

A UNM Police officer saw a man laying on the ground behind the Fiji fraternity house at 1801 Mesa Vista Drive. The officer identified the man, who was not a UNM student, when he ran a background check. The officer arrested the man after he discovered the man had two outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Metropolitan Detention Center.

March 28

A student called the UNM Police Department after her vehicle was broken into. She told police that she had parked her car at South Lot. She said she noticed that the passenger window was smashed and the CD player was missing. The responding officer did not collect fingerprints. There were no witnesses.

March 29

An officer was dispatched to Popejoy Hall where a woman had a seizure. When the officer arrived, the woman was conscious but disoriented. She told the officer she did not want to be transported to the hospital, and she signed an Albuquerque Ambulance form refusing transportation. A rescue crew gave her oxygen and determined it was OK to allow her husband to take her home. The husband told the officer the woman's seizure was the result of a medical condition.
