Gallup woman charged in death of child
GALLUP (AP) - A 40-year-old Gallup woman has been arrested and charged with child abuse resulting in death after a 14-month-old baby in her care died. Tammy Espinosa was arrested Friday on the first-degree felony charge. She faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
U.S. to boost cyberwarfare capabilities
NEW YORK (AP) - U.S. military officials seeking to boost the nation's cyberwarfare capabilities are looking beyond defending the Internet: They are developing ways to launch virtual attacks on enemies. Lt. Gen. Robert J. Elder Jr. said initial uses likely would be limited to diverting or killing data packets that threaten the nation's systems, the way the military may intercept a foreign ship carrying arms in international waters.
Housing complex struck by explosion
SAN'A, Yemen (AP) - An explosion shattered windows late Sunday at a housing complex used by foreign companies in Yemen's capital, but no one was hurt, security officials said. The blast went off on the south side of San'a in an upscale neighborhood that houses Western diplomats, including Americans.
