Incumbents Joe Sanchez, Jenny Ding and Christina Lovato were re-elected.

The online election drew 573 voters.

Candidates Jason Archer and Javier Manriquez weren't on the slate, and lost the race.

Manriquez said he didn't expect to win because the Link slate did a lot of campaigning.

"They had so many people out there chalking," he said. "It's hard to compete with that."

Ding said she organized the Link slate and selected students with a broad range of interests.

"Half of the slate has extensive experience with ASUNM, and the other half is very committed, passionate freshmen and sophomores," she said. "We have someone who's pre-law, someone who is bio-chem, so there is a lot of diversity."

Ding said she wants to increase senators' office hours and hold monthly town-hall meetings to get student input.

She also said she wants to increase scholarships for minority students and educate the student body about different cultures.

"I think it's important to bring outside cultures into UNM," Ding said.

Sanchez said the experience of campaigning was more enjoyable this semester than in the past.

"Last semester, candidates were hanging over students," he said. "We backed off, and that didn't happen this year. I liked it."

Sanchez said he wants to continue the Senate's work to renovate Johnson Field.

He said he would work to get safer equipment for bike riders.

"We have a lot of bikers here, and a lot of bikes get stolen," Sanchez said. "I'd like to get better locks and also put in bike lockers."
