About 500 students were evacuated from Zimmerman Library on Wednesday afternoon after a 10-inch water pipe burst and flooded the basement.
The library had to be cleared and the power shut off until Physical Plant workers could assess if the flood damaged any electric lines, said Joel Straquadine, facilities maintenance manager.
The library will reopen sometime tomorrow unless electric lines were damaged, said Mary Vosevich, director of the Physical Plant.
Three to six inches of water covered the basement floor Wednesday afternoon, Vosevich said.
