daily lobo asks you:

Do you think homecoming is important to UNM?

Anastasia Butcher

Sophomore

Sports medicine

I don't know if it's important to UNM. I haven't gone since I have been here. I know it's really important in high school. It's a huge deal, but it doesn't seem like it's the center of attention for most college students.

Robert Caldwell

Senior

Productions operations

It may be important to UNM as a community. I would guess I will probably attend homecoming. It's a great event. It gets the school going. It's a nice event to bring the school together as a whole.

Mark Zavala

Sophomore

Undecided

It's just something for the kids to do as another fun thing, then I think it's just ridiculous. I am planning on going to the football game, possibly the dance and the pep rally tomorrow, but other than that, I haven't participated too much.

Mark Grace

Freshman

Biology

To me, it's really not that important, because I am really focused on my studies. But that's just part of the college life. I go to the football games and the sporting events, but not a whole lot of other things.

Zoe Riebli

Freshman

Public relations

It creates school spirit and gives students something to do. It's not as big here as it was in high school, just because I think Red Rally is bigger. I think it gives people something to do and gets them involved, which is important.

Trevor Krabbenhoft

Graduate student

Biology

I think it's important to some people. It doesn't really affect me.
