The Daily Lobo asks you: Almost five years have passed since Sept. 11th, 2001. How do you feel about the United States' progress in the war on terror?
Jared Adams: "I think they are just manipulating the fears of all the people. Bush is manipulating Christianity and religion for his benefit -- not a new trick."
Rebecca Bowlin: "I think we have made America safer, but I think that it's also been a big hit for morale."
Eric Schreiber: "I feel we have come a long way -- definitely done some things that have been right, but not a lot, necessarily. It's been about 50-50, I'd say. I don't really think there's a whole lot to worry about."
Vsevolod Soloviev: "I am not from America. I am from Russia. This is your issue. Of course the war from terroism is a necessary thing but must be in reliable forms. The war in Iraq has nothing in common with the war against terroism. It was a war against Saddam Hussein, maybe for human rights, but it's not really the thing. The war against terrorism in necessary."
Rebecca Chavez: "I don't think there has been any progress. I think the world is much more unsafe, and the probability of there being more terrorism is actually significantly higher based on the foreign policy of the United States - the imperialistic foreign policy of the United States, I should say - and I am very angry about it."
