The Daily Lobo asks you:

What do you think about the new DWI law that seizes your vehicle on your first offense?

"Good idea, I think it should be stricter, since they're not really enforcing what we have right now. I think we need more support programs, like Safe Ride, to get people home safer."

Vince Welke

freshman

"I think it's terrible. Even a drunk needs to get to work."

Colby Bynum

junior

"I think it's well-meaning, but it's not going to be seriously enforced or actually help the problem."

Jennifer Krohn

junior

"I think it's okay. Well, I say that now, but if it happened to me, I'd be like, 'No way!' But really, if people can't learn, maybe they should get their car taken away."

Bryant Hammonds

sophomore

"I don't agree with it. The reason I don't agree is, I think the first time should just be a financial penalty. Now if it happens again, I agree with it."

Robby Anderson

junior

"If it were anything other than DWI, I would say it's basically unconstitutional. But I think that at level of severity, it's necessary because of the level of the problem."

Caiti Craft

freshman
