Two UNM police officers were dispatched to Zimmerman Library when a
security guard reported seeing a man with drug paraphernalia in the second floor bathrooms, according to a police report.
The officer asked the man for permission to search his bag and found a glass pipe with burn marks on both ends and two spoons with burn marks on the bottom, the report stated.
The officer also found black markers and a book titled Diary of a Drug Fiend in the man's bag, according to the report.
The man told the officer the book was his, but it had a property of UNM stamp on the inside. The security guard told the officer the man was suspected of writing on the bathroom stalls with the marker.
According to the report, charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, larceny and wrongful use of public property were pressed against the man.

A UNM Police officer was dispatched to Santa Clara hall after police received a call about a man with alcohol who was becoming
disorderly, according to a police report.
The officer attempted to make contactwith the man, and he tried to place a clear bottle by a bush, the report stated. The officer cited in the report the clear bottle was a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka.

While on patrol, a UNM police officer was dispatched to UNM Hospital in
response to a stolen automobile boot, according to a police report.
A security guard told the officer that a man had his car booted for illegal parking.
The man then removed and stole the boot, and the theft was recorded on video, the report stated. Security also told the officer the man was a UNM student. An investigation is pending, according to the report, and the officer has attempted to contact the student, who lives in the
Student Residence Center.
April 1
A UNM Police officer was dispatched to the UNM Hospital security office in
reference to a theft, according to a police report.
A security guard told the officer a man stole items from the hospital's gift shop. When the guard approached the man, he noticed a small bag of Fritos and a Lunchables in the man's pants, the report
stated.
The officer checked for outstanding warrants on the man and none were
found, according to the report, and he was cited and released.
