April 13

An officer was dispatched to a Redondo East apartment after the smell of marijuana was reported coming from one of the rooms, a police report stated.

The officer found a women talking to her resident adviser, according to the police report. The women told the officer she had smoked marijuana that morning and had a small pipe and marijuana in her room.

The women turned the marijuana and pipe over to the officer, according to the police report. She will be summoned to court for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the report states.

April 14

An officer was dispatched to the Student Resident Center dorms after resident advisers called UNM's Police Department, according to a police report.

The advisers told the officer they had been called to a room about a noise complaint, and when they went to check it out, they found students drinking in the hall. Two of the students were 21 years old, and the other four were underage, the report states.

The officer found the students in one of the rooms and saw the kitchen littered with empty liquor bottles, the report states. The officer informed the students of state liquor laws and UNM's alcohol policy, according to the report. Four students were given citations for "minor in possession of alcohol," the report states.

April 16

A UNM police officer was dispatched to Zimmerman Library when a woman reported a man was sexually harassing her, according to a police report.

The woman told the officer the man was masturbating while watching her study. She told the officer she moved to another area to study, but he followed her and continued to touch himself while looking at her from behind a bookshelf. According to the report, the woman then contacted Zimmerman security who called UNM police.

The man was arrested and transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center.
