The Daily Lobo asks you:

What do you think about Tuesday being named Lobo Appreciation Day by the governor after the Lobos won against Utah? How do you think this will affect the rest of their season?

"I don't know. I didn't even know they did that. I don't think it will affect the

season. It is just one game."

Lee Acosta

sophomore

"I think that it is a big achievement for our Lobos, and it is good recognition for the basketball team and for coach Ritchie McKay. I think it will be an extra confidence booster, and it will help the state recognize UNM sports."

"It makes me want to win. Damn, Lobo Appreciation Day! It just makes me feel real good to be here in New Mexico."

Bambale Osby

freshman

"I think it is a good idea, because it will give the team motivation to keep on winning just like they did. It will pump them up for the next game, because Utah is a really good team, and for us to beat them, that is something."

Kristin Rowe

sophomore

"It's just another day. Will it affect their season? I don't know. Some people get all jacked up on that."

Ray Zamora

sophomore

"I think that is a tribute and an honor to be named by the

governor. Playing a nationally ranked team and defeating them, I mean that is what running out on the floor is all about. I think it will show a lot of progress and positivity for the team."
