An officer was sent to the Coronado Hall dormitory after UNMPD received a report a student was "showing off" a homemade capacitor to friends, according to a police report.

The officer took two modified cameras from the student, who was advised not to do any more projects, the report states. The capacitor was described in the report as "black with red wires sticking out."

An officer was dispatched to the Family Pharmacy on University Boulevard because a woman was taking photos in the pharmacy, according to a police report.

She was told by pharmacy staff and security not to take photos, the report states.

Jan. 29

A woman reported her wallet was stolen from the emergency room at UNM Hospital, according to a police report.

The woman said she left her purse in the emergency room for 17 minutes when she took her partner, who was awaiting treatment, to the bathroom, the report states.

The officer had UNMH security roll back security footage, according to the report. The tape showed no one approaching her purse, the report states.
