The daily lobo asks you:

Gov. Richardson signed off on a 2-percent salary increase for faculty and staff. How do you feel about that?

Mary Trevio

Administrative Assistant

"I think it's really low, especially for people who have families. Four percent would barely work. I worked for TVI last year and got 5 or 6 percent. I'm surprised because UNM is so much bigger. I'm new around here, and I want to know, where does all that money from basketball games and Popejoy go?"

Robert Castillo

Arts and Sciences Computer Tech

"Basically we didn't get anything if you count the cost of living."

Rick Tronolone

Lead Physical Plant Custodian

"I'm happy to have something, but I think 2 percent is very low. I think the staff, particularly in my department, does a lot of work, and we're paid less than our worth."

Lhyv Oakwomon

Administrative Assistant

"I don't mind because it's not going to affect my tax bracket."
