The Daily Lobo found some of the best deals in town designed for couples looking to make the most of their Valentine's Day. There are a variety of options in lots of different price ranges.
For those who are going to splurge, the newly opened Zinc Wine Bar and Bistro is having a Valentine's Day special. Dinner includes seafood appetizers, blood orange salad and beef tenderloin. Dessert includes white chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate truffles. Each course is paired with wine or champagne. The cost is $65 per person.
At Scalo, lovebirds can get a six-course "Mediterranean inspired" dinner, said manager Trent Anderson. The meal will be eclectic, including seafood, ravioli, chicken and beef dishes. Couples can indulge in a molten chocolate cake with raspberry sauce for dessert. The meal comes with a price tag of $45 per person.
For those who like a little bit of everything, they can catch the Red Hot and Seductive Valentine's Day menu at Graze. The restaurant is offering a five-course dinner, including oysters, heart of beet soup and a main course of crispy skin duck breast. The meal is finished off by an array of desserts including Raspberry Crme Brulee, chocolate ice cream with white truffles. Dinner here runs $50 per person or $70 per person with wine pairings.

If you and your sweetie are vegetarian, Annapurna Ayurvedic Cuisine and Chai House is offering a completely vegan meal which includes an appetizer of heart of artichoke pakora with chutney, pumpkin soup, sauted eggplant and raspberry chocolate cheesecake for dessert. This dinner runs for a more affordable $18.95 per person.
For those lovers choosing to dine at home or celebrate later in the night, OPM nightclub is also offering a special. For $100 a couple can get a room at the Doubletree Hotel, admission to the club and a $35 bottle of champagne. For $40, a couple can get the bottle of champagne and admission into the club.
Students living farther away from campus have options too.
Tucano's is offering a Valentine's Day dinner for $29.95 person. They will have 17-19 different meats and strawberry mousse for dessert.
The Blue Corn Caf and Brewery is offering a Surf and Turf fajita dinner for two. It includes a salad, shrimp and steak and all the fixings for fajitas. For dessert, you and your honey get cheesecake topped with raspberry sauce. Dinner for two is $27.95.
And for those of you staying on campus or who are on a major budget, don't despair. La Posada cafeteria has a steak and baked potato dinner special Valentine's night that costs $6.25 per person.
Reservations are required at all of these restaurants for Valentine's Day, except for La Posada. Each of these restaurants still have openings, but space is limited.
