Members of reservist unit return to N.M.
ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - Eleven members of the 809th Army Reserve Unit will have Thanksgiving at home. The group was reunited with their families, who held balloons and signs of support at the airport here, as reservists returned home Friday following a nine-month tour in Iraq. Kim Altmire's eyes were filled with tears of joy as she saw her husband, Maj. William Altmire, make his way past the airport's security gates.
"We're going to go home, get reacquainted and have a beer," she said.
The unit was primarily charged with distributing fuel to other troops. They came under fire during a humanitarian mission in Baghdad, but no one was injured, Altmire said.

Start of flu season mild across New Mexico
Santa Fe (AP) - The start of flu season in New Mexico has been more like a sniffle than a full-blown bother, according to state health officials. But they warn that the state could still be in for a rough ride.
"Some of these anecdotal, isolated reports suggest we could be in for a pretty intense flu season this year," said Mack Sewell, state epidemiologist for the Health Department.
