Student says homeless woman assaulted her

A UNM student has declined to press charges against a homeless woman who allegedly grabbed and shook her while she was in a restroom inside the Anderson Schools of Management.

The incident occurred shortly after 3:15 p.m. on Nov. 6. Police were sent to the school and met with the victim, a UNM senior, who was reportedly grabbed and shaken by the homeless woman.

Police interviewed the woman, and the victim declined to press any charges.

Scholes Hall employee reports office vandalism

An employee of Scholes Hall, the building that houses a majority of UNM's upper-level administrative offices, reported to police that a first-floor office was vandalized.

The employee, who works for University Counsel, said she left her office around 1 p.m. on Nov. 6. When she returned the next day at about 9:30 a.m., she discovered that someone had entered the office and dumped numerous papers, files and folders throughout the office.

Police investigating sexual abuse incident

University police are investigating a reported case of criminal sexual penetration that occurred on Aug. 31.

According to the police report, the incident was reported on Friday.

Information is limited because the case is under investigation, but UNM Police Department Lt. Mike Young said department detectives are looking into the allegation.

Police were tipped off to the alleged crime by a telephone call made from off campus.

It is unknown if a UNM student or employee is involved.

Police investigate report of missing patient's file

University police are looking into how a patient's file happened to turn up missing from University Hospital.

According to the campus police report, the patient's file was last seen at about noon on Nov. 12. At about 6 a.m. the next day, the report was discovered to be missing or stolen.

It is unclear if there were any signs of forced entry into the office where the file was kept.

Police have no suspects in the investigation.
