The unofficial numbers are in and they show that UNM is going to have its largest freshman class in history, slightly more than 3,000.
"It looks like a record, but either way, this class will certainly be one of the largest ever," said Cynthia Stuart, director of admissions.
The University will make a full report about the class of 2007, including actual numbers, demographics, recruitment and retention successes, in about three weeks, she said.
Stuart said efforts in recruitment during the last four or five years, University College's Freshman Learning Communities programs and the Lottery Scholarship have all contributed to the swell in enrollment.
