UNM golfers Kailin Downs and Michael Letzig are this week's New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Downs finished fourth at the Ping/ASU Invitational with rounds of 71-76-69-216. The sophomore birdied five of the last 10 holes in the final round. Downs is the top-ranked sophomore in the country.
Letzig finished second at the National Invitational Tournament March 30-April 1. The senior's solid performance was his fourth top-15 finish in five tries this spring. Letzig shot a 2-under-par 70 in windy conditions in the final round.
