Editor,
On Thursday, March 27, there was a health fair in front of Zimmerman Library. Amidst tables offering massages and fruit smoothies was a table promoting support of the U.S. war against Iraq. War is an outrageous contradiction of health.
The U.S. military is committing acts of violence that result in death, decreased infrastructure and terror. The trauma of this violence will affect both Iraqi citizens and U.S. soldiers’ mental health long after the war has ended.
I propose that a truly healthful solution is to bring the troops back to the United States, so that our soldiers, the Iraqi people and the spirit of peace can survive.
