The Lobo swimming and diving team crushed in-state rival New Mexico State University 146-92 Saturday, in its last home meet this season at Seidler Natatorium.
UNM took home first place honors in 10 events.
Sophomore Aimee Dunavant set a new UNM record in the 100-meter butterfly, finishing in 58.65 seconds. She also scored a personal best in the individual medley, swimming 200 meters in 2:12.76. Dunavant holds several season-high times on the year.

Senior Myra Will met one of her toughest competitors of the season, Crystal Williams, in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle races. The two rivals split the awards. Williams took home first place in the 50 with a time of 24.04 seconds. Will followed closely, and finished the race in 24.06. Will evened the score, though, in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.5 seconds. Freshman Kelsey Leckovic also placed in both events, earning third place in 25.18 seconds in the 50 free, and second in the 100, clocking in at 53.7 seconds.
Long distance swimmer Nicole Overeem had an outstanding performance in the 500 and 1000 freestyle events. She placed first in both events with times of 5:17.27 and 10:44.50 respectively. Overeem finished with over 13 seconds to spare over the second place winner in the 1000.
UNM took the top two spots in the 200-meter freestyle race. Freshman Robyn Miller won first place with a time of 1:55.11 seconds. Teammate Lauren Doubrava, also a freshman, came in less than three seconds later at 1:58 in the 200 free.
Lobo divers Tracey Berghian and Becca Barras won first and second in both events on the diving board, as expected. Berghian won both competitions, scoring 273.52 on the one-meter, and 266.18 on the three-meter board. Both are personal records for her. Barras finished just behind Berghian with scores of 269.4 on the one-meter and 236.33 on the three-meter.
The Lobos travel to the Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Friday for their last meet of the regular season. The swimming and diving Mountain West Conference Championships take place Feb. 19-21, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
