LETTER: Park column lacks empathy for poor

Eric Howerton's article "Police useless in Roosevelt" left me saddened over his obvious lack of empathy for homeless people.

Is valuing a free game of Frisbee golf over the safety, health and well being of Albuquerque citizens the way UNM affiliates want to be portrayed?

I, for one, do not. My advice to Mr. Howerton is to open his own Frisbee golf country club! Then he can enjoy his pointless little game without the ever-present reminder of poverty.
