The University of New Mexico volleyball team suffered a pair of losses this weekend to conference foes Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming.
The losses pushed the Lobos record to a dismal 7-18 overall and 2-10 in the Mountain West Conference. Their only two wins in the MWC came over the Air Force Academy.
On Friday in Fort Collins, Colo., UNM was swept 3-0 - 30-26, 30-20 and 30-26. The defeat came before a CSU crowd of 1,310.
The bright spot in the match came from the Lobos junior outside hitter Anna Reines. She continued her stellar play, once again leading the team in hitting percentage and kills. She hit .409 and had 11 kills. Senior libero Blaire Burns recorded her 16th double figure match in digs, going for 13.
Saturday, the Lobos continued their trip north and headed into Laramie, Wyo. UNM came up empty handed, losing in four games, 30-24, 28-30, 30-24, 30-26.

Leading the Lobo attack once again was Reines. She had team-high 19 kills to go along with two solo blocks and one block assist. Sophomore Cayse Kaveny also had a strong performance, hitting .400 with 11 kills. Burns connected on 13 kills and added nine digs.
Next weekend, the Lobos host San Diego State University and UNLV in their final regular season matches.
Lobo seniors Kelly Griffin, Vanessa Shields, Blaire Burns and Staci Masten will be honored on Saturday.
