UNM detectives are investigating two attacks on female students on campus late last month.
The first alleged incident occurred Oct. 28, when a UNM student, Justin Bacon, reportedly forced his way into a female resident's room in Coronado Hall and held her down while he made skin-to-skin contact with her breasts and buttocks without her permission. The alleged incident occurred at about 11 p.m.
Bacon allegedly held the victim down by her wrists and refused to let her leave until she finally managed to wrestle away from him.

According to the victim's statement, Bacon approached her the next day, asked if she had reported the incident to police, and then implied threats against her. He also allegedly left threatening messages on her answering machine at her dorm room.
Bacon was not arrested but was contacted by UNMPD detective.
If arrested and charged, Bacon could face criminal sexual contact, false imprisonment and harassment charges, all of which are felonies. He could also be facing a misdemeanor battery charge.
In the second incident, a female student was reportedly attacked and groped while walking outside of La Posada Dining Hall Oct. 27, between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
According to the victim's statement, she was walking on the east side of the dining hall when a male came up from behind in a dark area and forced her to the ground.
The victim reportedly tried to resist the attacker but the man verbally threatened her as he groped her breast and attempted to remove her pants.
The woman escaped after the assailant ran off when she heard voices and approaching footsteps.
The victim described her attacker as a tall male with a muscular build with a short-trimmed goatee and wearing a black leather or vinyl jacket and a gray sweater.
The victim said she did not sustain any injuries in the attack except for a small scratch on her throat.
UNM Police Department Cmdr. James Daniels said that students should take special precautions when walking alone at night.
