EDITORIAL: A time for thanks

This past semester has gone by rather quickly and we now find ourselves on the cusp of Thanksgiving break.

Since it's a time for giving thanks and even the most cynical of us are being swayed to get in the spirit of the holiday, I thought I'd offer my thanks to the people who have worked hard this semester to make my job a bit more bearable.

I would like to thank all my staff members for all their hard work putting out the newspaper and rising above and beyond the call of duty on many, many occasions.

I would also like to thank our business manager, Jim Fisher, for keeping me sane. I would like to thank Advertising Coordinator Daven Quelle-Sakamoto and the entire ads staff for doing a fabulous job this semester in keeping the Daily Lobo very much afloat. They're an amazing crew.

I would also like to extend my thanks to my teachers this semester -- Pascale Fagerstrom, Diane Thiel, Mavis Richardson and Mike Artiaga -- for being patient, understanding and very forgiving. They probably don't even know how much I appreciate that, but I do. Working until 1:30 a.m., or later, each day doesn't make one the most cheerful or present student. So, thank you.

I'd like to thank our writing coach, Hank Trewhitt, for giving us all the kick in the bottom that we always seem to need. I'd like to thank Dr. Bob Gassaway for being a very wonderful boss. I'd also like to thank the UNM community for supporting your student newspaper.
