UNM undergraduate students will be voting once again Wednesday for 10 soon-to-be-vacant ASUNM Senate positions.
Sixteen candidates will vie for the 10 open Associated Students of UNM senator positions.
This semester, The Progression is the election's only slate, consisting of 10 members, as well as six candidates running as independents.
Running on The Progression slate are Justin Crosby, Christopher Chavez, Kevin Stevenson, Celestina Torres, Charlene Sevilla, Cicely Gragg, Amy Cook, Matthew Burgess, Melanie Giron-Carpenter and Megan Cisneros.
Daniel Ruiz, Amanda Woods, Jeremy Foreman, Frank Murray, Daniel Trujillo and Delia Ann Tripp are running as independents.
"All elections are important," ASUNM Vice President Heather Gabel said. "This is a decision of the student body on who they want as their representatives in the student senate."

Gabel expressed confidence in all the candidates, but did say that the outgoing senators - Chris Bitakis, Nicol†s Cabrera, Paul Campbell, Lisa Marie Gomez, Nicole Griego, Evan Kist, Brian Lucero, Rosalyn Nguyen and Tim Reed - would be hard to replace.
"Of course it's going to be hard to replace everyone that leaves because they are taking with them experience, but I'm excited to be working with a new group," Gabel said. "The most experience any senator will have is one semester under their belt."
Elections Commission Chairwoman Reyna Chavez said that the candidates are a diverse group of people and that they have followed all campaign rules.
"I am extremely proud of the candidates," Chavez said. "All the candidates have run extremely clean campaigns."
Student can vote between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at polling locations in the Student Resident Center Commons, Anderson Schools of Management, Mitchell Hall, the College of Nursing, the Tow Diehm Athletic Facility, Dane Smith Hall and the Centennial Library. Polling stations at Johnson Center and Zimmerman Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Students need to bring a current photo ID to vote. Student's Lobo card will also be acceptable.
