Staff Report
UNM police were called to the Residential Parking Lot east of the Redondo Village Apartments Sunday in response to a series of auto burglaries.
According to the police reports, the three victims all told police that they had last seen their vehicles around 7 p.m. the night before. The first victim noticed that his car had been broken into around 6:30 a.m.
"We can assume they are related because of the time frame," UNM Police Department Commander James Daniels said.
He added that the department is treating the incidents as an inactive case because there were no witnesses and police have no suspects.
One vehicle had its right rear window broken and its stereo, radar detector and compact discs stolen.

A second vehicle had its passenger side door damaged and stereo stolen and other assorted items taken.
The third vehicle also had damage to its passenger side door and had its stereo, amplifier, sub woofer and radar detector stolen.
UNM police estimated the total value of the items stolen from the three vehicles to be more than $1,700.
Daniels said UNMPD would work with the Albuquerque Police Department's auto burglary unit to find out if any of the stolen items have been recovered by the city.
He added that in these cases, UNM police will patrol the area more heavily and that if anyone on campus sees something suspicious to call UNM police immediately at 277-2241.
