UNM engineering students will have an opportunity to meet with members of one of the world's leading science and technology producers as NASA representatives visit campus this week.
The representatives will be at the UNM Hispanic Engineering Student Organization's 22nd Annual Career Fair Thursday and Friday at Johnson Recreation Center. They will also be at the group's Co-op Reception Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 120 at Dane Smith Hall to meet with scholarship recipients and students interested in the NASA Training Project.
The Hispanic organization's annual career fair will also feature a banquet and dance on Friday.
The NASA project provides students with hands-on work experience by placing them in one of its various science and technology installations across the nation.
During the reception and fair, students will have the opportunity to discuss aspects of the training project and work opportunities with the NASA representatives.

According to the Hispanic student organization's UNM Web site, NASA's cooperative work experience provides students with the opportunity to enhance their academic skills and knowledge with hands-on work and research.
The career fair is meant to bring students and organizations together to discuss job opportunities, work experience and scholarships.
The Hispanic Engineering and Science Organization promotes excellence in engineering, science and mathematics for Hispanic students at UNM.
The NASA Training Project is an undergraduate-focused program funded from the Minority University Research & Education Division.
