Senior quarterback Justin Millea and sophomore goalkeeper Kristen Winters are this week's New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of The Week.
In an unlikely start, Millea led the Lobos to a surprising 25-16 victory over the UNLV Rebels on Saturday. The Silver City, N.M., native rushed for 148 yards on 14 carries, including a brilliant 72-yard touchdown run.
Winters helped the women's soccer team to two conference road victories last weekend. On Friday, Winters made six saves in a 1-0 shutout over San Diego State. Sunday she ran her shutout streak to three games, picking up eight saves in a 1-0 win against UNLV.
