"American Waitress, New Mexico" is making its premier in Albuquerque on June 1 at The Guild Theater. The event is being sponsored by the Santa Fe Film Festival. "American Waitress, New Mexico" is a documentary film set in Albuquerque that examines the experiences and attitudes of waitresses, while simultaneously commenting on social structures, power dynamics, and human nature.

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets for the 7 p.m. screening, which includes a reception at Scalo Northern Italian Grill's Cipriani Room, are $12. The director, the editor, the executive producers and many of the waitresses featured in the film will attend the screenings and reception.
