The UNM women's tennis team completed a road sweep to go to 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play this season and gave head coach Kathy Kolankiewicz the 250th win of her career.

Saturday, the 52nd-ranked Lobos downed Brigham Young University for the first time in school history 4-3. UNM had been 0-21 against the Cougars before Saturday. Friday, the Lobos earned a 4-3 victory over the University of Utah to give Kolankiewicz her milestone victory.

The UNM men's tennis team split a pair of Mountain West Conference road games this weekend in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Lobos dropped the first match Friday to 30th-ranked San Diego State University 5-2. They rebounded on Saturday to take a 4-3 decision against 38th-ranked UNLV.

The UNM track and field team had another strong performance in an outdoor meet Saturday in the University of El Paso Springtime Invitational in El Paso, Texas.

The women's team placed fourth while the men's team finished in third. The Lobos also received several impressive individual performances to help capture four events.

The UNM baseball team went into Las Vegas, Nev., this weekend in first place in the Mountain West Conference with a 5-1 record.

But the Lobos left Las Vegas wondering what happened after getting swept by the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (14-16, 4-5 in the conference) in the three-game series.

UNM was crushed 11-5 on Friday, 23-2 Saturday and 15-6 Sunday, falling to 15-17 and 5-4.
