I am a Sigma Chi member here at UNM. I have a few clarifications for all the misinformed students on campus.
First of all, I am not racist, and my fraternity is not racist either. One stupid member did a very stupid and morally wrong thing, and anyone who judges my friends or me for their actions is ignorant!
Second of all, some of my friends - who are of legal drinking age - were on our roof drinking out of cups and saying hello to their friends that walked by. I apologize on their behalf for any interference with anyone's educational process.
And, last of all, we were the only people in Angel Fire, so how can anyone else know exactly what happened? Trusting the news or the papers is not a valid source.
So, to all of my fellow students here at UNM, I suggest that you get your facts straight and lighten up.

So on our way out, I would like everyone to know that Sigma Chi is not gone. They can take our house and our charter, but they can't take our brotherhood!
