Editor,
Once again I go to pick up a copy of the Daily Lobo, only to find an article written by Ms. Lim¢n that has only maybe half the facts. Does she ever do any research when she writes or does she just sit down on her computer and let her fingers do all the work?
I am, of course, referring to the fraternity article. The only person she could contact was the dean of students, and we all know how much he loves us!
Couldn't she contact anyone else? Obviously an objective reporter only needs one source, and when it's the dean of students, we all know how great the source is.
On top of that, the alleged rapist's name appears in the Lobo. For God's sake people, what ever happened to innocent before proven guilty? At least let the guy save some face. I'm not saying that I like rapists, I hate them. If he is guilty, let him hang, but until then, don't go and ruin someone's life.
Maybe Ms. Lim¢n should start a gossip column, then she wouldn't have to have any facts or tact! I am pleading with you, Editor, start printing a paper that we, as UNM students, can be proud of and read every day, not just when we have nothing better to do.
