The new staff was, unforunately, still being chosen when the new editor article was published and the staff wasn't announced until Friday, April 26. It is time to remedy that situation. So - drum roll, please - I am pleased to announce the new Daily Lobo 2002-2003 staff:
Managing Editor: Arthur Simoni, the former TVI Times editor in chief and previous editorial assistant to former Lobo editor Iliana Lim¢n.
News Editor: Clayton Holtzman, one of two newcomers. Clay was formerly editor in chief of Northern Arizona University's student newspaper, The Lumberjack.
Photo Editor: Our two-time staff photographer Laura Mann has taken over the reins for former photo editor Matthew Dunn, and despite having some large shoes to fill, I know she will rise to the occasion.
Assistant News Editor: Misty P. Salaz is returning in her position as assistant news editor and I look forward to watching her mature in her role even more this year.
Culture Editor: Our second newcomer, Marisa Demarco, was fiction editor for the 2002 Conceptions Southwest, UNM's literary and visual arts magazine.

Web Editor: Also returning in his position is Colin Scroggins, who has admirably maintained our Web site since 2001.
Design Director: Sari Krosinsky will return in as design director and continue to wow us with her designs.
Production Manager: Kenn Rodriguez also is returning to branch out even more.
Finally, I will end with a tribute to my predecessor, Ms. Lim¢n. It is difficult to say goodbye to her for many reasons. She has taken the Daily Lobo to an unprecedented level that I aspire to lift even higher. We shall miss her something fierce when she graduates in two weeks. Greatness such as hers will be hard to match.
