Junior David Lloyd of the men's track and field team and head coach Kathy Kolankiewicz of the women's tennis team are the New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Kolankiewicz recorded her 250th and 251st victories of her career this weekend when her team defeated the University of Utah and Brigham Young University 4-3 on the road. The 17th-year head coach also earned the school's first victory against BYU. The Lobos had been 0-21 versus the Cougars.
Lloyd remained undefeated on the season with his third straight victory in the 400-meter hurdles Saturday at the University of Texas at El Paso Springtime Invitational. He recorded an altitude-adjusted time of 50.75 seconds to earn the victory.
