The UNM women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Lady Gamecock Classic Sunday in Blythewood, S.C.

The Lobos finished with a 38 over-par, 902 in the three day tournament. Duke University took first place with a 10 over-par, 886.

Sophomore Kristi Larson lead the way for UNM, finishing in 12th-place after shooting a 7 over-par 223. Freshman Kailin Downs was just one stroke behind her teammate, shooting an 8 over-par 224.

The UNM women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 match to intra-state rival New Mexico State University Sunday in Las Cruces.

The 75th-ranked Lobos split the six singles matches, but lost two of the three doubles matches to lose the point.

But the matches were not without close battles - four of the singles matches went to three sets and all three doubles matches needed tie-breakers to decide the outcome.

The Lobos' next home match is Friday when they face Boise State University at 2 p.m. in the Lobo Tennis Club.
